This incredible intervention, for use with primary school children, is designed over a six week period, to:

• Increase a child's ability to engage and work cooperatively with peers;
• Help with conversational initiation and response;
• Increase strategies for compromise and negotiation;
• Support a child's ability to give and take direction from peers;
• Increase self-confidence and boost self-esteem.

It involves facilitating collaborative play, in which children work in small groups to build models in a supportive and structured environment.  The members of the group have unique, interdependent jobs which require interaction, working on a range of skills.

The intervention takes the form of 6 x one hour, weekly sessions. 

There should be 3 children in the group and these should be the same 3 children each session.  It is most suitable for ages 7 and upwards.
